Quick trick for cleaning the dishwasher

When we talk about cleanliness, we all mean the home most often. But what if the utensils are dirty? This would definitely annoy us and put us in an uncomfortable situation, especially if we have guests for example. How to make glass glasses crystal clear and cutlery shiny? It has happened to every housewife - cleaning only with a sponge and detergent does not give satisfactory results. For optimal cleanliness and shine, it is best to use a dishwasher. But in order to do its job well, it itself must also be cleaned.

Is there a way to do this ourselves at home without buying expensive preparations all the time? Here's a quick trick that will give you an answer:

Cleaning the inside of the machine

To fully clean the sink, you will need:

  • 2 tsp baking soda;
  • 2 tsp vinegar;
  • 10 drops of tea tree or lavender essential oil.

The first step is to empty the dishwasher. Once you have done this, pour the soda directly into the machine. It will help to gently clean the interior, while eliminating unpleasant odors and detergent residues. Run a long program with hot water.

After the cycle of one program is finished, mix the vinegar with the essential oil and add them to the place where the detergent is usually placed. This mixture will act as a mild disinfectant while eliminating moldy odors. Run the machine on the longest program, with the highest degrees.

If after the two cycles there are still dirt or stains on the inside, you can remove them by using a cotton cloth soaked in a small amount of vinegar or you can make a cleaning paste of baking soda and a little water.Clean all parts you can reach. If necessary, you can also use an old toothbrush, putting some baking soda on it again.

To protect your dishwasher from the formation of unpleasant odors and the development of bacteria - leave its door slightly ajar when not in use, as well as after the completion of a cleaning cycle. In this way, moisture, which is a prerequisite for the development of microorganisms, will not be retained inside.
