Products:

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 3 eggs
  • 120 g soft butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 tsp. instant coffee powder
  • Pinch of s alt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 45 g natural cocoa powder
  • For the cake topping:
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 120 ml liquid cooking cream

Preparation:

In a water bath or in a microwave, melt the butter together with the chocolate. When a smooth mixture is obtained, you can transfer it to a deep bowl. The mixture should not be boiling, but at room temperature when you add the eggs.You should put the sugar, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, eggs and s alt. Everything is beaten well until a uniform mixture is obtained. The dough is poured into an oiled pan, the bottom and sides of which are lined with baking paper (diameter about 16 cm).

The cake is baked in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Melt the chocolate in a water bath and add the cream to it. Mix well and pour this mixture over the cooled cake. You can refrigerate to set the frosting.
