The "Golden" section of the morning block "Bulgaria in the morning" returns to the delight of the viewers in the new television season with many more inspiring and curious meetings with some of Bulgaria's biggest champions. This Friday, September 16, at 07:00, a special guest is the youngest Olympic champion in our sports history - Petar Lesov.

The athlete stepped on the peak of fame at only 19 years old. Already at his first participation in the republican boxing championship for boys, he became the champion and was declared the "best boxer" of the tournament. In the next few years, he became the republican champion consecutively in all age groups.

From 1978, he began to compete among men, his first participation being during the prestigious "Strandja" tournament, where he made a splash and won the gold in his category. Only two years later in Moscow, Petar Lesov became the Olympic champion in the under-51 category.

To get there, however, he goes through a number of vicissitudes and difficulties, once even giving up boxing. What brings Petar Lesov back to the ring, why even today his eyes tear up when he talks about the Olympic title, when was the most difficult moment in his career and what he dreams of as a coach?

Bulgaria ON AIR viewers will learn all this and much more from the inspiring personal story of Petar Lesov on September 16, in the "Golden" section of the morning block "Bulgaria Morning", from 07:00.
