  • 100 g butter
  • 1 large tea cup flour
  • 4 soup a lie. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Stuffing:
  • about 200 g grated pumpkin
  • 1 grated apple
  • 1/2 tsp coarse walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp raisins
  • 1 tsp finely grated lemon peel
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3-4 tbsp. a lie. breadcrumbs
  • 2-3 tbsp. a lie. fresh milk


This is a wonderful recipe for flavorful homemade strudel. It looks a bit complicated, but it's extremely effective!


Add the eggs, sugar and butter, softened at room temperature, to the flour. Knead a soft dough and refrigerate to set for about 40-50 minutes.

In a deep bowl, mix the grated apple and pumpkin and the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Knead the crust from the dough. Place the filling in the middle and form a roll. Brush with the fresh milk and sprinkle with a little sugar. Place on baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at about 180 degrees for about 60 minutes. Cut the strudel after it has cooled completely.
