Summer is knocking at the door, and you are worried about wearing sandals. You can start treating them now to restore the softness of the skin on your heels for the summer. Fortunately, there are a few home remedies that can help.
Peel, cut and boil a turnip. After boiling it, puree it. Wait for it to cool and apply on the heels. Put on socks or preferably nylon socks. Wait 2 hours for it to absorb. Then wash your feet with warm water. Put on warm socks. Do this every day for 2 weeks until the skin is renewed and softened.
Olive oil and vinegar
Mix equal parts olive oil and apple cider vinegar.Mix them well and store them in a glass jar. Apply the liquid liberally to the heels every night. Put on socks or again nylon socks for the night. The mixture penetrates deep into the skin and softens cracked heels.
Glycerin is a natural moisturizing product that accelerates the healing process of cracked skin. Make a solution of one part glycerin, one part lemon juice and two parts rose water. Store it in a glass jar or bottle. Apply with a cotton pad twice daily.
Homemade heel scrub
Exfoliation helps remove the dead cells that build up on the heels and cause the hard cracks. Removing them through a scrub allows the skin cells to renew faster. Take 1 gram of flour, 1 gram of rice flour and 2 tablespoons of oatmeal. Add some lemon juice and fresh milk. Mix to make a paste. Rub the scrub into your feet with massaging movements.Wash with warm water. Apply a moisturizing heel cream.
Mask for cracked heels
Mash 1 banana. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and ½ teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix well. Apply the mask on the heels for about 1 hour. Wash your feet with warm water and put on warm socks.
