Muscle pains and cramps can appear for many different reasons in our daily life - both during sports and during ordinary activities that we do every day. In order to recover, in such cases our muscles need heating and nourishment. Give it to them with a wonderful recipe for homemade muscle pain cream with natural essential oils.
The cream contains oils of camphor, cinnamon, peppermint, eucalyptus, calendula and clove.
Camphor is used as a means of stimulating blood circulation, reducing pain and itching on the skin. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, suppressing swelling, redness and pain in the affected areas.
Mint also has pain-relieving properties. The menthol in peppermint can help reduce inflammation in muscles, joints, and bring a cooling and soothing effect.
Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties. It can help reduce muscle pain due to injuries, strain, stiffness. It is also suitable for reducing swelling.
Oil of calendula
Marigold does not have a warming effect similar to the other ingredients, but nevertheless has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties.
Cloves also have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. It contributes to the faster recovery of the affected muscle tissue.
Eucalyptus has warming properties. It warms the affected area, thereby relieving pain in the muscles, helping them recover faster and overcoming inflammation.
Ingredients and proportions of the cream:
- ¼ cup olive oil;
- ¼ cup shea butter;
- 2 tablespoons beeswax;
- 45 drops of camphor oil;
- 35 drops of peppermint oil;
- 20 drops of eucalyptus oil;
- 25 drops of cinnamon oil;
- 15 drops of clove oil;
- ¼ teaspoon calendula oil.
In a water bath, melt the shea butter together with the olive oil. Add the wax as well. Stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Once the mixture is completely melted, wait a few minutes for it to cool. Add the essential oils one at a time. Again, mix very well until all ingredients are completely combined.
Pour the mixture into a suitable glass jar with a lid. Allow to cool completely before placing in the refrigerator to set for 20-30 minutes.
