Products:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 glass of water
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ½ teaspoon s alt
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • For the frosting:
  • ½ cup butter
  • 6 tablespoons fresh milk
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Grease a rectangular baking tray and dust with flour. Pat off the excess flour and set aside.

Combine the water, butter and cocoa in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the butter melts and the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool. Mix the dry ingredients. Beat the eggs with the buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla in a separate bowl.

Add the melted butter mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir. Then add the egg mixture. Beat everything together with a mixer until a smooth dough is obtained. Pour into the pan. Bake in the preheated oven until toothpick dry or about 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven. Leave to cool on a wire rack.

For the frosting:

Combine the butter, milk, vanilla and cocoa in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the butter melts. Once this is done, add the powdered sugar in batches, stirring until completely dissolved. Lightly pour the resulting glaze over the warm cake and spread well. Allow to cool completely before serving.
