Shortly before it opens in theaters across the country on November 8, Yana Titova's film "A Dose of Happiness" will debut with pre-premiere screenings in Varna (1.11), Burgas (2.11) and Plovdiv (3.11). Part of the production team will also take part in the three-day tour, including the director Yana Titova, the producer and actor Alek Alexiev, the leading actress Valentina Karoleva, the actors Dimitar Nikolov and Irmena Chichikova. Tickets for the advance screenings are now on sale at the Cinema City website.
"A Dose of Happiness" is Yana Titova's first full-length film, in which the focus is on the true and fascinating story of the journalist Vesela Toteva. In search of happiness, Vesela and her daughter accidentally fall into a vicious circle from which it is almost impossible to escape.The tape is based on her autobiographical book Fall and Salvation, in which she describes a grueling but successful seven-year struggle with drugs. In an inspiring way and with extreme precision, the film traces the period when they became widely available in Bulgaria and there are few people who manage to overcome the addiction in the name of happiness. Actress Valentina Karoleva (daughter of Vesela Toteva) is in the main female role, whose role is her debut on the big screen.
Participation in the film also includes favorite big names, including Dimitar Nikolov ("The Secret Garden", "Christ"), Alek Alexiev ("Ex altation", "Stolen Life"), Asen Blatechki, Irmena Chichikova, Ivan Burnev, Silvia Lulcheva, Vasil Binev, Stefan Valdobrev, Stoyan Doichev. Cinematography on the film is the work of Martin Balkanski, who shot a number of Bulgarian and international productions as chief or assistant cameraman. His name is associated with Stolen Life, Tilt, Sneakers, The Ungiven, 18.
"Dose of Happiness" is written by Yana Titova. Producers are bTV Studios and NO BLINK Studio in the person of Alexander Alexiev and Nikolay Stoichkov.
