A total of 240 teams from 87 companies from various business sectors took part in the Postbank Business Run 2021 charity relay run, which took place yesterday on the territory of Business Park Sofia. This is the ninth edition of the large-scale inter-company competition, which is organized once again by the sports club "Begach" with the leading support of Postbank. The initiative brought together 960 participants, with runners joined by 29 children aged 4 to 16 who competed in the Kids Run, run by certified coaches under the IAAF Kid's Athletics programme. For the fifth year in a row, the CEO Dash competition was held, in which 6 CEOs from different companies took part.

The biggest team building in Bulgaria was realized in support of two causes. The collected funds of over BGN 10,000 will be donated to the Children's House project of the For Our Children Foundation to provide temporary family shelter and a chance for a family for the little ones, as well as to the Voden Path Foundation to support children with special needs through kinesitherapy, aquatic rehabilitation and modified swimming so they can grow up to be independent adults and get a chance at a fulfilling life.

The winner in the relay was the SAP Top Team from the company SAP Labs with a time of 1:00:32. In second place with a total time of 1:01:21 is the BLINK Run Team of the BORIKA AD company. The third place was taken by the Festo team of Festo Bulgaria with a time of 1:01:51. The prize for "Fastest Female Team" this year was also awarded to the SAP Tech Girls women's team from the company SAP Labs with a time of 1:19:47. The second place among them went to the Lazy Paws team of Concentrix, and the third place to the "Panthers" team from DSK bank.In the CEO Dash competition for executive directors and senior managers, the fastest among men was Yordan Ginev from the Innotec company, who covered the distance of 1 kilometer in 2:59, and among the ladies - Sonia Nikolova from the iCard company with a time of 4:40.

Postbank's top team (Postbank [email protected]) performed excellently, taking 4th place with an overall time of 1:04:26. The financial institution entered the competition with a total of 27 teams.

The main objective of Postbank Business Run is to draw people's attention to a he althy lifestyle, provoking in them the desire to win through teamwork and cooperation in the name of a noble cause. And this year, all those who could not attend in person were able to watch their counterparts online, as the competition was broadcast live on YouTube. For the safe running of the competition, the organizers had complied with all the COVID measures, according to the IAAF rules for conducting competitions.
