Today, during a special event at the University Botanical Garden in Sofia, the winners of Post Bank's innovative digital platform "Universe of Possibilities" were awarded. It was created on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the financial institution to promote interesting ideas related to social entrepreneurship for the benefit of society. 30 out of a total of 238 projects with potential in the key areas of "Digital Innovation", "Education" and "Green Projects" reached the final stage of the competition, and at the beginning of September, after the decisive vote of an authoritative jury, the three winners were selected - one project each in each of them.The value of the financial support that each winner received is BGN 10,000, with which the author commits to the implementation of his project within 6 months from the date of receiving the funding. The host of the awarding ceremony was Niki Kanchev.

At the location of the event, three touch devices with an intuitive interface were set aside - one for each category, where the guests had the opportunity to examine the essence of the presented projects for themselves and in detail. The ceremony started with a short introduction and presentation of the finalists with video business cards, then proceeded to the official awarding of the winners.

First place in the "Digital Innovation" category was won by the Infinity Toy Box project - a platform for renting children's toys, books and games. It aims to introduce children and their parents to more ecological ways of consumption and the benefits of the circular economy. With the help of the platform, parents will be able to rent various educational items for their children to use for a certain period and easily exchange for new ones.The development of the platform started at the beginning of the year, and with the help of the earned funding, special educational boxes suitable for children from 0 to 2 years of age will be made.

The project, awarded in the category "Education", is an idea to build the Sofia Planetarium "Andromeda", in which it is planned to screen astronomical and popular science films suitable for all ages, as well as to conduct courses on children and adolescents. The main goal of the project is to popularize natural sciences among the residents and guests of the capital using innovative projection methods.


The winner in the third category "Green Projects" is the "Clean Water" initiative of the "Wonderful Garden" social enterprise, which employs 21 people with disabilities. The aim of the project is to provide its own water source through deep drilling of clean water for the garden where flowers and vegetables are grown.

A special incentive award of BGN 2,500 was awarded to the "Green Classroom" project, which aims to stimulate inclusion, identity building and the discovery of alternatives for life realization of children and young people from isolated villages in the Velingrad region.

The platform has generated tremendous interest among the public, highlighting numerous projects and good ideas for the benefit of society that deserve to be presented. The categories we have chosen at the launch of the initiative fully correspond to the mission and values ​​of our bank, as we have not stopped offering innovative digital solutions for the convenience of our customers, developing various green initiatives and contributing to educational achievements.We believe that the present today provides a universe of possibilities for our future tomorrow. All these good projects we have seen prove it completely. The projects that were admitted to participate in the competitive nature of the program had to meet a number of criteria, including innovation, quality and applicability. On the exclusively created innovative online platform, anyone interested (citizen or non-profit organization) had the opportunity to present their attractive idea with a focus on social entrepreneurship. The 238 projects for the benefit of society that participated in the competition for grant funding were distributed accordingly - 39 applications in the "Digital Innovation" category, 136 applications in the "Education" category and 63 in the "Green Projects" category.Until the end of July, users had the opportunity to vote for a project of their choice through the platform, which determined the 30 best ideas. During the final stage, an independent jury examined and evaluated the final applications, the methodology of which was based on a detailed analysis with a check of each idea for compliance and eligibility - technical, financial and creative.

The expert jury was composed of:

• Mrs. Petya Dimitrova, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Post Bank, as well as Chairman of the Jury;

• Mrs. Krasimira Velichkova, Director of the Bulgarian Donor Forum;

• Mr. Momchil Vasilev, executive director of Endeavor Bulgaria;

• Mr. Ognyan Trayanov, Chairman of the National Council of the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact and Executive Director of TechnoLogica EAD;

• Mr. Svetlin Nakov, co-founder and manager "Training and inspiration" - SoftUni.
