To clean diamonds

The easiest way is to use a special cloth for diamonds. Place the ornament in the center and rub vigorously. Do not touch the inside of the tissue as this may contaminate it.

Another option is to make a homemade cleaner that can clean both precious stones and gold.

What you will need:

  • 1 tsp. dish detergent;
  • 1 cup warm water;
  • ½ tsp. ammonia based cleaner.

Mix dish soap with water. Add the ammonia solution. Soak your jewelry in the resulting solution for 5 minutes.After removing them, clean with a soft toothbrush, brushing gently. To clean hard-to-reach places, you can use a toothpick. Allow the jewelry to dry on a towel.

If you want to clean gold

Soak the gold ornaments (no stones) in beer using regular, not dark. Leave for a few minutes. Rinse with water and dry with a dry, soft cloth.

You can also use a mixture of:

  • 2 tbsp. soda;
  • ½ tsp. white vinegar.

Mix the ingredients, and leave the ornaments in the solution for 2-3 hours. If you don't have that much time – you can put them in pure vinegar for 15 minutes. Rinse under running water, dry with a towel.

You will restore the shine of silver with the following mixture. You will need:

  • A small piece of aluminum foil;
  • 1 tsp. soda;
  • 1 tsp. s alt;
  • small cooking vessel;
  • 1 tsp water;
  • 1 tsp. vinegar - optional.

Put the aluminum foil in a small cooking pot (you can also use an aluminum tin). Pour the soda on top, then the s alt. Slowly add the water (it should be boiling). Stir gently. Place the silver jewelry on the foil. If desired, you can also add 1 tsp. vinegar. Leave to soak for 10-15 minutes. Wash with clean water and dry.

Universal cleaning solution. You will need:

  • 1 tsp. s alt;
  • 1 tsp. baking soda;
  • 1 tsp. dish detergent;
  • 1 tsp hot water.

Mix all the ingredients together with the hot water. Soak the jewelry for 15 minutes, then rinse and dry.
