Aching muscles and joints is a problem that many people suffer from. This type of pain is unpleasant and often difficult to bear because it interferes with daily activities and a restful night's sleep.
You can relieve them with natural remedies. Make a homemade ointment for joint and muscle pain without artificial chemicals, which is no less effective.
What do you need?
- Glass jar with lid
- 1 cup of dried herbs or spices (hot peppers, ginger, cinnamon, olives, mint, arnica, black pepper, nettles). Usually 1 tablespoon of each dry ingredient is used. You can choose what your melange contains.
- 1 cup essential oil of your choice - olive oil, grape seed oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil
- 200 g beeswax
Place the dry ingredients in the jar. Cover with your chosen essential oil. Close the lid and shake well until the ingredients are mixed. Place the jar in a sunny spot in the home, such as a windowsill. Leave it there for a few weeks, shaking occasionally.
After 2-3 weeks, you will see that the oil has darkened considerably. Strain it from the herbs and dry spices. It is easiest to do by using double cheesecloth or a Schwartz coffee filter. Let the strained oil sit for 1 hour, then mix it with the beeswax. Mix very well.
For this purpose, you must have previously melted the wax in a water bath. When the wax is completely melted, mix with the pressed essential oil and mix. Allow the ointment to set at room temperature for a few days.
