Gelatin is one of the most common ingredients we use in cooking. It consists of glycine amino acids and proline. In addition to cooking, it is also used in homemade masks for beautiful skin and hair. Save these recipes and rediscover beauty.

Gelatin face mask with fruit juice

What you need:

  • 1/2 package unflavored gelatin
  • about 200 ml of fresh fruit juice, choose the one that is right for your skin type, for oily skin use fresh lemon, carrot, orange, grapefruit, tomato; for normal skin – fresh peach, raspberry, apple, papaya, pear or strawberry juice.

Place the gelatin and fruit juice in a small saucepan and heat slowly on the stove.

Stir continuously until the ingredients are well combined. Remove the mixture from the heat to allow it to set and then put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Stir and see if the consistency is thick enough.

Apply the mask evenly on a cleansed face and leave it on for 20-30 minutes. Then, begin to carefully peel the mask off the skin, starting from the chin to the forehead. Rinse the face with water and if necessary apply a moisturizing cream.

Gelatin hair mask

What you need:

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • one egg
  • 2 tablespoons hair conditioner

Mix the powdered gelatin together with the pre-warmed milk. Stir continuously until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Add olive oil, egg, balsamic vinegar and mix again. If desired, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

Apply the mask to damp hair along the length, avoiding the roots so they don't get greasy. Leave the mask on for at least 30 minutes and then wash your hair with a suitable shampoo.

Face mask with egg white, milk, gelatin

What you need:

  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 2 and ½ tablespoons full-fat fresh milk
  • 1 egg white

Combine the milk and gelatin in a saucepan placed on the stove, stirring constantly until the gelatin dissolves. Then remove the mixture and let it cool slightly.

Add the egg white and mix well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Apply the mask evenly on a cleansed face and neck. Leave on for 20-30 minutes and gently peel off the skin. Finally, rinse with lukewarm water and apply a suitable cream.
