50 g butter
75 g sugar + 2-3 liters for sprinkling on top
1 large spoonful of grated nutmeg
2 tbsp cinnamon
400 g pumpkin (finely chopped)
225 g ready-made butter dough
1 egg
This pumpkin cake is made famous in Harry Potter book. From the very beginning in the first book, pumpkin pie is present at the moment Hermione and Ron meet on the Hogwarts Express, at the Halloween celebration, even at the Triwizard Tournament.
We mix the butter, sugar, cinnamon and ind. walnut in a large bowl, heat slowly to melt the butter. Add the pumpkin, fry for 10-15 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally.
We heat the oven to 200 degrees. Spread half the dough in a round pan, then put the pumpkin filling and the rest of the dough on top.
Grease the top with a beaten egg, and pierce in several places with a fork so that the steam can escape. Bake until red (20-30 min.) in the heated oven. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
We serve cold or warm with cream.
