The Sauvignon Blanc variety continues to be a favorite of the Bulgarian consumer for more than a decade. According to the leading producers in our country, this is due both to the fashion imposed by the New World, and to the very nature of the variety - namely freshness. The peak for the consumption of white wines is in the summer months, where lightness and freshness are the most sought after. "A fine Sauvignon Blanc is distinguished by a pure and rich intensity of aroma, with an expression of the variety's characteristic freshness, aromatic greenness and exotic fruitiness," say the team at New Bloom Winery, whose Sauvignon Blanc in the Face 2 Face (F2F) series is among the most liked in our country. According to them, the popularity of this wine variety is due to several factors: "the wine is easy to consume, captivates the senses and goes extremely well with different food. The accumulated experience of Bulgarian oenologists in working with Sauvignon Blanc in recent years, as well as the good selection of vine planting material, led to an increase in the quality of wines of this variety. For these reasons, the wines are competitive in terms of price/quality ratio in the wine market worldwide.
From New Bloom they also say that half of the work on a wine takes place already in the vineyard, therefore the own vineyards are key. Last year, the winery made its largest investment in vineyards by adding 2,000 decares. It now has 8,000 decares, which makes it one of the largest in Thrace. A key goal for the New Bloom Winery team is to present the winemaking of their region - recognized as one of the world's best wine destinations - with modern, contemporary wines with a good expression of varietal aromas, richness and harmony of taste. They impose both the world's most popular wine varieties and little-known varieties such as the German Regent and Dornfelder. This year, the producer from Saedinenie is celebrating the tenth anniversary harvest from its vineyards with a Sauvignon Blanc limited edition white wine in their premium F2F series.
“We are grateful that precisely on this jubilee harvest, we were able to achieve high quality wine and create wines in the familiar modern "New World" style, say the team of the winery in Saedinenie. Chief oenologist is Vladimir Vlachkov - one of the most recognizable and highly qualified persons on the wine scene. According to him, the hallmark of New Bloom Winery's wines is harmony. "To give this assessment, I rely on the consistency we have shown over the years, evaluated many times both by consumers in our country and by the world's most prestigious wine competitions." One of the biggest successes for their Sauvignon Blanc is that it has managed to rank among the top five of this variety in the world. This happened at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition in 2018., when F2F Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2017 won the highest distinction – Best of Class.
