Delicious delights at Lufthansa on long flights: from now on, the airline will pamper its guests with a menu created by Italian chef Nadia Santini. Lufthansa and LSG Sky Chefs have for the first time managed to secure the services of one of the few female chefs for their Connoisseurs on Board concept. For guests in first and business classes, "Prima Donna dall'Italia" has prepared several exquisite speci alties. For example, "Smoked larks with Zucchini sauce" or "Steamed beef ribs with kachamak" remain the greatest culinary masterpieces, combined with local influences.
Nadia Santini is one of the absolute elite when it comes to master chefs. Antonio Santini's grandparents and parents had their own provincial fish tavern in northern Italy. Nadia and Antonio Santini took over the tavern in the seventies. Since then, the married couple has devoted themselves entirely to the family passion - the restaurant business. And the success is there: the tavern becomes a fine restaurant, and Nadia becomes its chef. The name of the restaurant "Dal Pescatore" has remained unchanged to this day, as has Santini's philosophy: a long family tradition and female intuition in the selection of old, precious recipes combined with a modern lifestyle
Since January 2000, internationally renowned chefs have been creating menus to satisfy the highest culinary demands of Lufthansa First and Business Class passengers. On international flights from Germany to all parts of the world (except flights to India and Japan), leading chefs such as Harald Wohlfahrt (Baiersbronn), Andre Jaeger (Schaffhausen, Switzerland), Thomas Keller (Yountville, USA) and Paul Bocuse (Lyon, France) have catered to our passengers. Of course, high-quality wines are part of the "Connoisseurs on Board" concept. That's why Lufthansa takes advice not from just anyone, but from Marcus Del Monego - the world champion of tasters.
