Holiday Heroes delivered 5970 holiday packages. Over 100 companies, the top media, hundreds of volunteers and ambassadors joined the holiday heroes' Christmas campaign to help families in need throughout Bulgaria.
The Christmas 2016 campaign was the most successful campaign for all holiday characters to date. Almost six thousand families from over 100 settlements throughout the country received a package of food products to welcome the brightest Christian holiday - Nativity of Christ - with a full meal.
Dozens of companies and media, hundreds of individual donors and volunteers, a bunch of hometown celebrities turned the Holiday Heroes cause into a celebration for thousands of needy families across the country. For four days, tireless volunteers packed holiday packages. Countless others delivered the ready-made packages directly to the families' homes in their private cars.
On the first day of wrapping and delivering holiday packages for Holiday Heroes, Teddy Katsarova brought the Christmas miracle to the home of 42-year-old Michaela, diagnosed with oligophrenia, who lives with her mother and brother.
Opera singer Gergana Nikolaeva and her close friend Toni, singer of the hits "It was all a dream" and "Like before", also volunteered for the cause and delivered Christmas packages to families.
The presenters Kristina Vladimirova and Dimitar Dimitrov were also festive heroes on the third day of the packing and delivery campaign. On the last day of deliveries, on Ignazhden, Drago Simeonov and the young performer Диа, as well as the stars of VIP Brother 2016 – Roro and Nadia Ivanova, became heroes for families in need.
Like every campaign before, Christmas 2016 also featured a live stream of the wrapping process on each of the holiday package preparation days. The holiday packages are not completely uniform, but each of them contains the basic food items - flour, pulses, oil, meat and/or dairy product, pie crust, bread and a toy for the little ones for families in need. They were all sent to the homes of those in need families all over the country.
