Hundreds of volunteers and some of the most beloved native stars delivered holiday packages to over 1000 Bulgarian families in need on the very first day of the Holiday Heroes donation campaign.
The largest Christmas campaign organized by the association Holiday Heroes is now a fact. From Wednesday morning (19.12.2013) the holiday heroes are bringing the Christmas miracle to the homes of thousands of Bulgarian families in need.
Among the celebrities who joined the campaign were the presenter Yana Grudeva and Georgi Milkov, who helped a family from the Knyazhevo district of the capital. A single mother from Ovcha Kupel will have her real, festive Christmas dinner, thanks to the festive heroes Kalin Vrachanski, Dilyana Popova and Yulian KostovPop singer Toni and Svetljo Kuslev-Starlight, in turn, donated a piece of the Christmas miracle to an elderly lady taking care of her sick mother.
Meanwhile, as early as 8:00 a.m., a team of over twenty volunteers began packing the holiday packages, which are a trademark of the initiative. Christmas bread, frozen chicken, pie crusts, flour and rice are some of the products with which the organizers hope to bring some Christmas warmth to the homes of our countrymen who are forced to spend every other day of the year in poverty. By late afternoon on the first day of the campaign, over 1,000 families had received their Christmas packages. For the first time, they also contained toys for the children, where Santa Claus might never have come.
Holiday Heroes' Christmas campaign will continue until December 21st.
