National carrier Bulgaria Air has prepared a special surprise for passengers traveling in business class. Starting today, February 16, the airline is introducing a completely renewed catering menu for business class on board. The new menu is 4-course and is prepared according to European culinary tastes, in combination with traditional Bulgarian dishes and products, including the emblematic yogurt and white cheese for our country.
The business class catering menu consists of different types of salads, cold appetizers, main courses and desserts, which will be served on a rotating basis every month. The speci alties are professionally selected by chef Plamen Stamov - head chef of the Red Canape restaurant and the Rapongi restaurant, and are prepared for serving on board by the aviation catering company Silver Wings.
The menus are tailored to the destination and the season. The selection consists of juicy grilled chicken fillet on imperial rice and aromatic mushroom sauce; tender fillet of Norwegian salmon with baked potatoes and a palette of grilled vegetables; butter-scented chicken breast topped with garden spinach, basmati rice and a fine Philadelphia cheese sauce or tender tenderloin pork noisettes served with imperial rice, candied cherry tomatoes and vintage mustard sauce.
While business class passengers fly over Europe, they will be able to enjoy a variety of fresh salads, traditional Bulgarian dishes such as banitsa with butter and cheese, and sophisticated appetizers such as goose pate or an hors d'oeuvre of local meats, cheeses and herbs. Passengers will be able to sweeten their journey with a homemade brownie with walnut pieces and dark chocolate or a cheesecake with chocolate biscuit and ice cream with vanilla seeds.
The new menu in Bulgaria Air's business class is part of the renovation of the overall catering on board the national carrier. The airline is about to update the economy class menu as well.
