Nelli Petkova needs no introduction for a long time. The talented singer is among the most popular and liked musical performers in our country. In addition to her beauty and charisma, Nelly has always enchanted us with her gentle voice and wonderful songs. Her latest English-language project was also released very soon - the song " Broken" and the accompanying video.
In "Broken" we see Neli Petkova in a new light - the track is in R&B style. In the creation of "Broken," the singer collaborated with Grammy-winning music producer David "Swagg R' Celious" Harris, who won the award for best R&B album in 2019 (for the singer's album "H. E. R." – note ed.).
Today's guest in our column " She, the star" is precisely Nelly, who we asked to tell us about the preparations for Easter, as well as what activities and activities she fills the time with in social isolation. Happy reading.
How was the preparation for the great Christian holiday Easter?
Easter is the brightest Christian holiday and every year the preparation for it is associated with a lot of excitement and emotions. So this year, I started preparing for the holiday a few days earlier. I decided to experiment with dyeing the eggs and bought some pearl dye which turned out great! The excitement, of course, was greatest for our son Daniel, who is two years and eight months old. Now he is discovering the world and everything is very interesting to him. He was so impressed with the Easter eggs that he even managed to hide two of them, which I later found in his bed.
Do you have favorite recipes or culinary traditions that you follow every year for the holiday?
The menu for the holiday always includes Easter green salad and kozunak. My grandmother makes the most delicious kozunacs. I learned from her that, apart from quality products, the most important thing in the preparation of kozunaks is the rising of the dough. It takes a long time, but the wait is definitely worth it.
How do you keep fit during the state of emergency and home isolation?
It is not easy for me because I am generally very active and my daily life involves many activities that require movement. I like to walk. In isolation, I'm trying to replace walking with exercise at home, but it's certainly not the same as a walk in the park or a good workout at the gym.
What activities do you use to diversify your time at home?
I listen to a lot of music. I try to find different activities and not spend the day being lazy. I have started working on new songs which I hope to realize soon. I sing almost every day to keep myself out of shape. I believe that very soon we will have the opportunity to visit theaters and concert halls again. I have so much music and can't wait to share it with everyone!
What did you manage to do during the emergency that you didn't have time for before?
Spending more time with my family which makes me happy! I called friends I hadn't heard from in a while and remembered how to make a pie.
Your wish to the readers, how to keep a good mood in the emergency situation for everyone?
I wish everyone good he alth. I know how hard it is for an active young person to isolate themselves from the world. Don't lose hope! We will soon return to our normal way of life. Use the moment to improve yourself, to do something you never had time for. And most importantly, be kind to yourself and your loved ones!
