- 500 g ground beef
- ½ onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 glasses of water
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 and ½ teaspoon s alt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- shredded chili pepper, optional
Fry the beef with the onions in hot fat. Reduce the heat after a few minutes and let the meat brown, stirring to prevent burning. It's ready when the mince starts to form small balls or about 10 minutes.
Add the onion, garlic and chopped pepper. Cook until tender or 2-3 minutes. Add one cup of water and stir.
In a bowl, mix ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, s alt, pepper, mix. Add the other cup of water. Add them to the pan and simmer on low for about 40 minutes or until the water has evaporated. Stir occasionally.
Serve the filling in burger buns.
