In a bowl put two egg whites, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon almond essence, 1 tablespoon oil. Beat everything with the help of a wire until a fluffy thick mixture is obtained.
Add 1/2 cup sifted flour, 1 and 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch, 1/2 cup sugar, 3 teaspoons water. Stir the mixture well. You can divide the resulting dough into two parts and add a few drops of red food coloring to one, or you can color it entirely.
Using a tablespoon, take a small amount of the dough. On baking paper placed in a tray, shape something like a small pancake with a diameter of about 5-6 cm with the round part of the spoon.
Bake the circles in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 6-7 minutes. While they are still warm, take a circle, put a note with a love message inside it, fold it in half, holding it with your fingers in the middle.
Then fold the cookie over the rim of a glass of water, continuing to press in the middle with your fingers. Separate it into a muffin tin, let it cool and keep its shape. When all the cookies are ready, dip each one in melted chocolate and sprinkle with colorful sticks.
