Dima Kirova is a Master in Finance, graduated from the University of Economics in Varna. Since September 2005, he has been the Financial Director of GTV, and since March 1, 2007, he has held the position of General Manager.

What profession did you dream of as a child

Like any child, I had many different dreams in different periods of my childhood. Yet looking back over the years, I remember that what I most wanted was to be the captain of a ship and travel the vast world, seeing new countries and new people every day. Today I realize that my dream has come true, albeit in a different area - now I am a television captain and every day I meet new and interesting people.

What are your career ambitions

I don't think ambition is the right word here, but I would like to live up to my vote of confidence and be a good manager for all the people I work with.

Are there times in your work when you find it difficult as a woman? Or you feel facilitated by your gender

There are times when it's hard for me and there are times when it's easy for me. I don't think gender matters, it's more important that you did your work well and on time. I believe that in Bulgaria we have long outlived gender discrimination in the workplace.

What does working in TV get you

It fills me with energy and variety. I have to admit that working in TV is really very interesting.

How will GTV develop under your leadership

I believe the comedy channel will only grow onward and upward. I believe that there is a sea of immense opportunities before us and it is up to us to seize them and realize them. And by us I mean the whole team of the television, because together we are equally important for the development of GTV.

As someone who mainly deals with finance, is it difficult to support a TV

Running a television is neither easier nor harder than running any other business. The important thing is that at the "end of the day" the financial result is positive.

Share your experience and your best professional achievements ?

As a student, I worked as a saleswoman, barmaid, etc. After graduating from university, I worked for about two years as an accountant, when the opportunity arose to work as a chief accountant, and later as a financial manager. Perhaps it is an achievement that in the last two organizations I worked for before GTV, I was rated very highly and was accordingly promoted to Deputy Director.

If you take stock of your journey, what would you point to as your greatest success ever

I'm not generally one to brag, so it's really hard for me to answer this question. I think it's best to let a man's actions speak for him.

What do you spend more time on - your family or your profession

In today's society where the majority of women work, the only possible answer is profession. Both my family and my friends suffer from this - lately I have less and less time for them. I don't have any free time from Monday to Friday, so Saturday and Sunday are my personal time. It's great that my husband and I have common interests and hobbies - skiing and fishing. This is how we manage to combine the useful with the pleasant - we have fun together and are out of Sofia almost every weekend - sports and relaxation in the fresh air and in a different environment at the end of each week.

Your message to the modern Bulgarian woman

Modern Bulgarian women are some of the most intelligent and most beautiful women in the world. Therefore, I wish every Bulgarian woman to be very happy, regardless of where she is and what she is doing.

What do you want to teach your children

I could say a lot of things here, but since I don't have kids yet, I'll refrain from answering. I'll be happy to answer that question when I become a parent myself.

Favorite color? Song? Taste? Location?

I don't have a favorite color, but I still prefer warm and sunny colors.

Favorite song – all U2 songs are equally my favorite. I have listened to them countless times.

Favorite flavor - mint in all kinds of variations, but mostly as mint ice cream, strong mint chewing gum (so that your palate tingles), mint tea, mint syrup (from the one that was once sold on the streets - diluted with sparkling water), peppermint jelly and After Eight candies (with peppermint filling), peppermint liqueur, etc.

Favorite place - all the places, corners, villages and cities that are on the shore of the sea, not only ours, but also all other seas in the world. Is there a sea, I feel at home. Perhaps this is the place to share that I lived in the city of Varna for the first 22 years of my life, and this is the reason for my maritime preferences.

Favorite recipe? Something you enjoy cooking for your family and friends?

My husband and I often invite friends over and really enjoy the pleasure of cooking for them. My husband is a recognized master of tripe soup, whose healing power we traditionally test every year on January 1st, right after the New Year's party.

Lately I'm a supporter of he althy eating and experimenting with all kinds of recipes with fish or beef. I am happy to cook dishes from the traditional Bulgarian cuisine - moussaka, grape sarmi, kavarma, Gergevsky lamb and many others. In short – I love to cook, but unfortunately I have less and less time for it.
