Mira Dobreva is one of the most beautiful faces of BNT. She is not only beautiful, but also smart and purposeful.

Trying to balance his attention between work and family. He dreams of professional development, and personal development for his family and more children.

What profession did you dream of as a child?

After “Good night, kids,” I stayed up every night to watch the news. I was especially respected by the charm and strong presence of the speaker at the time, Dimitar Ignatiev. I guess it was subconscious, but I certainly dreamed of being like him one day… Now Mickey and I are colleagues, I give him my due respect every time I meet him in the newsroom and I never forget to remind him that somehow he has pointed my way.

What are your career ambitions?

Bulgarian national television is public media and personal ambitions are not encouraged. I hope that the news we make is the best on the Bulgarian television airwaves and I will never stop being ambitious in this regard - to be the host of the most diverse, exhausting all the information hunger, with the most credible and verified by at least two sources news, to be the host of a show that viewers give the highest percentage of trust.

Are there times in your work when you find it difficult as a woman? Or do you feel facilitated by your gender?

It is not difficult for me to be a woman. Neither in work nor in life. Journalism is a field in which mostly women "fight" and this, on the one hand, proves that we can often do more and do it better.

What is the news you were most happy to announce?

I enjoy covering the news and I guess it shows. I love my job as a TV journalist. Even more I like to do news - run reports, cover events, then go back to the newsroom and make a first version - for the news at 16, then a second - for the feed at 18, another, for the feed at 20 o'clock…

If I have to be specific, I will say that I like to report the result of work done - for example, when after a report in Around the World and in our country, a state mechanism was activated more quickly and this contributed to rather to solve a sick problem of a person, an organization…

Working in news, what else do you dream of professionally?

I dream of development… I have stayed in this field for too long – news making – news making…. I think it's time for a change.

And in private?

I dream of a family, one or two more children.

What is the price of being famous?

A certain “amount” is paid and it is not small at all, believe me. I don't want it to sound like a complaint, so I won't take the liberty of sharing it with your readers. To understand me, I will only ask them to imagine that they are under constant surveillance. They constantly have to pay attention to what they will wear, how they will look, what they will say, how they will behave wherever they are… It is difficult to constantly conform, because part of your naturalness is washed away, which is why the viewers love you.

If you take stock of your journey, what would you point to as your greatest success?

I became a mother and this is my greatest achievement as a person. In professional terms – these are the calls of the viewers, the letters, after a broadcast or after a report. The viewers' awards - "Woman of the Year - section "TV Journalism" - 2006. "Most beloved Bulgarian woman" - 2006, "Most charming TV presenter" - 2004, "Most stylish lady" 2003, for me are priceless moments in my life. Thanks to all the people who support me!

What do you spend more time on - your family or your profession?

I need development in both areas of my life - both at work and in my family. For now, I feel like I'm on the treadmill at the gym - I'm running, but I'm still standing in the same place. Either way, I try to never have one at the expense of the other. I try to compensate. For example, when I've been shooting and editing late, I buy ready-made but freshly cooked food from the family-saving supermarket next to us, so I don't feel guilty for not being able to cook.
