The Fashion Academy with chairman prof. Lyubomir Stoykov awarded the most stylish and successful Bulgarians for the eleventh year in a row. Rayna Kabaivanska, pop singer and actress Polly Genova, Vasil Petrov and actor Ivaylo Zahariev are the winners of the award "BG fashion icon 2019 “ in Art category. Ivet Lalova was awarded in the "Sports" category, TV presenter Tsvetanka Rizova received the prize in the "Media" category.
In the "Business" category, Boyana Sharlopova and Maxim Behar were awarded. The previous winners of the "BG fashion icon" prize - Yuliana Doncheva, Maya Antova, Valeria Veleva, Yoana Bukovska-Davidova, Kapka Amzina and Iva Ekimova - were awarded the awards. The ceremony was also attended by Miroslav Pechev, Italian designer and stylist Alberto Vedelago and Luboslava Mitkova, PR expert. The leadership of the Academy of Fashion will personally present the awards to Raina Kabaivanska and Ivet Lalova when they are in Bulgaria, as during the official ceremony they were engaged abroad.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Prof. Lyubomir Stoykov pointed out: "I am convinced that the "BG Fashion Icon" award contributes to raising the taste and aesthetic demands of the new generation, as well as to the understanding of the unity between inner and outer beauty, between professional success and dress style. I believe that the 2019 winners will join the three main social causes of the Academy of Fashion - supporting young designers and fashion students, upholding the values of ethical and sustainable fashion, and relentlessly fighting fake celebrities, kitsch and bad taste. I believe that together we will make our contribution to a more humane, more moral and more beautiful world!".
Beautiful outfits were also presented at the event, and one outfit, thematically selected for the event, was also shown by the winners of the "Golden Needle" prize over the years: Nevena Nikolova, Zhana Zhekova, Evgenia Zhivkova, Sofia Borisova, Mariela Gemisheva, Milka Alexandrova-Buchi, Antonia Yordanova, Teodora Spasova, Elena Zlateva, Megi Petkova and Nikolay Bozhilov. At the invitation of Prof. Lyubomir Stoykov, his fashion students from the National Academy of Arts participated in the revue show with their debut works.
Among the guests who honored the event, Maria Grozdeva, Esil Duran, Gergana Tashkova, Stavri Kalinov, Dr. Khodor Fakih, Pavel and Edita Tsvetkovi, Dr. Polina Panyova and others stood out.
