The magic of the Bulgarian theater is once again available to foreigners, residents or guests of our capital. Since mid-March, the Sofia Theater has resumed sub titles in English for some of the productions performed on its stage. The sub titles are an initiative of the "Sofia" Theater, which first introduced them in Bulgaria in 2015.
Due to the situation with COVID-19 and the reduced number of seats in the hall, this practice was discontinued in the last year. But in order to meet the interest of the visitors, the management of the theater decided to return them, although the permissible occupancy of the hall continues to be 30%.
Upcoming sub titled productions are: The Lewd on March 16th and 27th, Tiramisu on March 20th and 30th, and Old Saybrook and the Last Passionate Lover on March 26th. Tickets are sold at the theater box office and online on its website. Sub titles are projected above the stage, so it is recommended that foreign viewers take seats in the 12th and 13th rows of the lounge.
The newest production of the "Sofia" Theater - "The Box" will be able to be watched with sub titles in April.
