Anger as well as sadness, fear are feelings inherent in every person. Although it is normal to experience moments of anger and rage sometimes, it is disturbing if they are frequent or happen every day, on different occasions.

According to a survey, every 10 admits to often suffering from anger problems, but only 15% of these people seek help from a competent person. Unfortunately, we can't all be our own doctors and psychotherapists, so consulting someone more knowledgeable than ourselves can be key to our mental he alth.

We get angry about something. In today's fast-paced world, any technical hitch that can slow us down is a source of anger – transportation issues, traffic jams, slow or no internet, delays in service delivery, etc.n. In addition, there are possible conflicts at the workplace, with neighbors, in the family.

Viewed more broadly, anger is a natural defense reaction of the body that helps our body and mind to be in shape for possible challenge and encroachment on us or our property. When something triggers our appetite, a number of changes occur in the body: the heart starts beating faster, blood pressure rises, breathing speeds up and sweating increases.

However, different people react differently when expressing the emotion. Some respond immediately to provocation, while others hold their anger until it becomes "red-hot" and then explode.

When anger becomes dangerous

Physically, anger harms your he alth in the immediate and long term. If the moments are repeated regularly, it can lead to problems on different levels:

  • Digestion. Appearance of inflammation and ulcers in the small intestine; inflammation of the stomach walls (gastritis), irritable bowel syndrome.
  • The immune system. More likely to get the flu, slower recovery from accidents and surgeries.
  • Heart and Circulatory System. The risk of heart attack and stroke increases.
  • Mental He alth. Risk of depressive moods, addictions, self-destructive and aggressive behavior.

What you can do

A he althy diet and a moderate regimen of work and sleep have a better effect than medication. If necessary, seek professional help before the problem becomes bigger. And in no case do not forget positive thinking and good mood.
