Maroon 5 frontman Adam Lavigne has furnished a new, luxurious home. The singer has bought the family home of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner in Los Angeles, where they lived before they separated. The acting couple bought the sprawling mansion in 2009 for $17.55 million, but over the years have made renovations that have nearly doubled its price.
The mansion was never officially put on the real estate market, with the deal being negotiated privately between representatives of Lavigne and Prinsloo and Affleck and Garner. It is known that the former couple has been trying to sell the property for a long time. The charming mansion was created according to the design of Cliff May in the second half of the 1930s. Then, in the late 1940s, it became the property of film legend Gregory Peck. According to Variety, Brian Glazer bought the property in 1992. and then sold it to Affleck and Garner.
Apparently Lavigne and his wife, the supermodel Behati Prinsloo, are not worried that the house belonged to a divorced couple and are not superstitious in purchasing this expensive property. The estate, which is spread over 3 acres of land, was sold to Lavigne for the sum of $32 million. The house consists of 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and a home theater where Adam could watch any of the movies he's been in or his latest videos.
The mansion also has a basketball court, gym, swimming pool, art studio.
In August 2018, it became clear that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were officially divorced after separating in 2015. They lived apart for a long time and postponed the divorce, but eventually reached an agreement and finalized it.
