Ben Affleck shared on his Facebook account that he has just completed a course of treatment for alcohol addiction.
In his statement, the 44-year-old actor admits he needed help for his battle with alcohol and addiction.
“I completed a course in alcohol addiction treatment; something I have struggled with in the past and will continue to confront. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be,” Ben said in a statement.
The father of 3 also expressed his gratitude to his wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he has been separated for 2 years but has no divorce.
“I want my children to know that there is no shame in asking for help when you need it and being a source of strength for anyone else who needs it but is afraid to take the first step. I am lucky to have the love of my family and my friends, including my co-parenting partner, Jen, who has always supported me and cared for our children while I did what I needed to do. This was the first step towards a positive recovery.”
According to information from TMZ, Ben Affleck entered a clinic right after his participation in this year's Oscars.
In 2001, Ben Affleck was in a rehabilitation center, but it was not known for what reasons he was there.
